AX/N4 Supervisor N4 License Migrator support extended to December 31, 2023.

This applies to ALL Supervisors purchased as AX Supervisors, whether upgraded to N4 or not.

What is the AX/N4 Supervisor N4 License Migrator?

• The migrator, when processed, will change the AX Supervisor license from an AX model to an N4 model and remove the AX portion.
• The migrator requires an active SMA for it to work
• If the Supervisor license has an active SMA currently, the migrator can be used for no cost
• If the Supervisor license does not have an active SMA, one must be purchased

What happens if the Supervisor license is not migrated?

• The Supervisor license cannot have its HostID replaced if it changes, even with an active SMA (as of July 1, 2023)
• Even with an active SMA, the current licensed N4 version will be frozen when new versions of N4 are released
• If a new HostID is needed after December 31, 2023, a new Supervisor license will have to be purchased

Recommendations

• If the Supervisor license has an active SMA currently
  • the Niagara-Central License Server can be used to run the migrator and upgrade the license to N4 at no cost 
    
• If the Supervisor license does not have an active SMA
  • , an SMA must be purchased to keep the license current and active. Once done, the Niagara-Central License Server can run the migrator and upgrade the license to N4.
